I would like to share with you.......................

some crafty goodness with you all.

Today, I met up with my friends today for a wonderful crafty day, we spent a lot of the time putting the world to rights, but I did manage to get a bit of crafting done!

I coloured in Silver Fairy with TH Distress Markers onto Water Colour Paper (from my stash ), I also stamped another fairy and coloured the wings, then cut these out, then I cut her out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals, as she is a bit big for the die, I decoupaged a set of wings onto my panel as I lost a bit of her wings, in the die cutting process.

I stickled ( is that a word ) her wings and dress with Star Dust Stickles, my most used colour, well diamond gets used a fair bit as well.

The background was created using the MS score board, now if you have not got one of these, WHY NOT! lol. I love mine. I distressed the edges with a craft knife, well I would of used my distressing tool, but it seems to have fallen into the deep pit called my craft room!

I added a distressed strip of patterned paper and a row of Lace and pearls, before layering the fairy panel on the top. I used my MS Vintage Lace PATP set to create my card base.
Then finished it off with a few flowers from my stash and a few punch outs using the Martha Stewart branch punch.

I just love the way her wings pop off the page!

Neat Storage idea!

I have decided rather foolishly to start sorting out the Craft Hut, It is getting in a right old mess and I am unable to find things when I need them as a lot of my stash is here there and everywhere!

Soooooo with the help of a good friend I have started the sort out, she benefits as what I decide to get rid of K gets first dibs. Then what is left I give to another friend who runs a Girl Guide group.

I went along to Pickleberry Paper crafts on Saturday, which sadly has now closed her Bricks and Mortar store as she and her family are moving back up to the Midlands, tho she will still have a online store.

Julie who had a studio there, was packing up her room ready to move , had a bookcase there that she was going to leave, I asked her if I could have it and she said yes, that baby went straight into my car, it replaces one I have in my Hut that is falling apart and it is slightly bigger as well.

So K and I fixed the back of the case today, emptied the old bookcase. I had a really good sort out of all the bits and pieces that were on there, and then started the process of refilling it! I am really happy with that corner of the Hut, just a few more to go LOL.

Any way back to the title of the post, I have a house shaped sectioned box that had been floating around for a while, as K and I were tidying up the drawers in  my Plan chest, she spotted my collection of tissue tape, looked at the house and said why don't you store the rolls of tape in there and hang it up on the wall. So I did and here is what it looks like.

I'll get round to painting it one day.

Now they are at my finger tips!

Don't forget there is still plenty of time to comment and follow for my Giveaway, I love reading your comments, so come on don't be shy.

Seedless Preserves..........................and a giveaway!

What a lovely name for a stunning colour.

I have been playing today with a Bare Basics frame by Papermania (had these in my stash for yonks!) Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms, Foliage and Sizzix flowers layer 5. Along with Tim Holtz Stamps and Distress Inks.

Here are the results, I would love to hear what you think of my finished frame; Where I am going to put it I am not sure LOL!

Completed Frame.

I coloured some Vintage Music paper with Antique Linen by Tim Holtz then over stamped it with a flourish border stamp by Tim Holtz in Antique linen.

I then took a scrap piece of patterned paper and stamped my quote onto it using Archival Black ink and different coloured ones for the word "Colour" added Antique linen around the edges, distressed the edges using the Tim Holtz Distress tool and added a bit of Frayed Burlap to take away the core colour that had emerged.

For the Main frame I coloured the whole of the frame with Dusty Concord Distress Stain as a base, then using a foam applicator I applied Seedless Preserves, making the edges darker.

Once that layer had dried, I stamped using the Flourish border stamp and Black Archival ink around the front of the frame and left it to dry.

For the Large Rose I used the Sizzix Flower layer 5 following the Tutorial here,
I then cut out the leaves from the Spellbinders Foliage die using Grunge paper.

Large Rose and leaves close up.

For the Small roses in the upper corner I used Bitty Blossoms by Spell Binders, once again cut with Grunge paper and coloured with Seedless Preserves Distress ink. when I was rolling them up, I put a trail of Glossy Accents along the edges to help it adhere better, as I found just using Glossy Accents on the bottom tab was not enough. Once all of my flowers were dry, I gave them a drenching in Perfect Pearls Spray.

I then arranged my flowers on to the frame and glued them into place using Pinflair Glue Gel. Then I added a couple of Martha Stewart Branch punch outs, I did try the Branch from the Foliage, unfortunately it was a big to bulky, I wanted a it to be a bit finer and the MS one fitted the bill quite nicely.

Close up of Smaller Flowers.
I did add a flourish of Diamantes in the upper corner, using my Bazzil Basics template.

Hi there,

Well as the title says I am back, with some cards to show you.

Just recently I have found a love for colouring with promarkers, I am not a professional by any standards, I just love sitting here in "The Hut" and colouring to my hearts content.

On this card I have used Romantic Rectangles by Spellbinders, Stampavie "Pia", Pearls, Promarkers and mulberry Roses. All products are available from Oyster Stamps.

On this card I have used Patterned paper, with a criss Cross pattern that I scored using the Martha Stewart Score Board, Memory Box Grapevine Wreath, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Spellbinders Banners die set and pearls from my stash, the rest of the products can be found at Oyster Stamps.

If you'd like to replicate this card, you can make the flowers from a die by Memory Box called Floral Delights and the Tiny Butterflies you can use Butterfly Delights also by Memory Box.

Why?

Hi there,

Strange title for a post I know, but I have to ask this question. Why do people feel the need to send really horrible comments.

I had a couple of nasty comments and to be honest I was really upset by them and it put me off posting on my blog.

This past weekend I was with Oyster Stamps at the Bracknell Sincerely Yours show. In the evening when we were siting in the restaurant of the hotel we were staying in, Ali  said to me that I don't post much on my Blog I told the group what had happened and they couldn't understand it either.

So I am back with and I am going to carry on blogging, if I get anymore nasty comments, I will just delete them and give them the one fingered salute!!!!!!

Now that feel so much better.

Normal service will now resume.

Thank you for reading.
