Oyster Stamps blog hop continues.....

Hi there,

Welcome to the oyster stamps blog hop, I do hope you have enjoyed the creations that the DT have created so far.

If you came straight here to my blog, you have missed the beginning of our blog hop which was Neet  . Who has introduced the blog hop and a chance to see what she had made with the dies.

Here are the Design Team members:

Neet
Martine
Paul
Linda
Pam
Barbara

As you know the dies we are using, are the fantastic Cut and Fold dies by Spellbinders, these dies enable you to create some wonderful cards and also other items as well, is that a hint I hear you ask?

The Dies that I have been given are:

Roundabout

Angle Approach

Here is my first creation using Angle Approach.

Christmas Ornament

I decided that this die would make a wonderful Christmas Decoration, I used Cream Pearlescent card, glitter and half back pearls to give this decoration some added sparkle.

Close up of Bow.

I added glitter to the reverse of the die, so when it is Folded and tucked under the glitter will show. I adhered the Cut and fold dies to Spellbinders Octagon Nestabilities, these were stuck to a cardboard roll to enable me to wrap a piece of ribbon around to create a hanger.

I also used Becca's bow maker from  Oyster Stamps, the ribbon is from my ummm rather large stash!

My Second Creation is a card which I have to say I have fallen in love with.

This card uses Cut and Fold Roundabout dies.

I also used the largest plain Grand Square by Spellbinders, Martha Stewart Score Board, Antique Frame and Accents by Spellbinders, G45 Romantique Papers, M-Bossabilities folder "mystic". The Pearls and Brad are from my own stash.

Close up of Centre.

To create the centre I cut two 12" by 2 1/2"  lengths of G45 paper and scored it at every 1/4" on my MS Board, joined the two ends together and pushed them down to create a rosette, I used a hot glue gun to secure.

I cut the aperture using the largest  Roundabout die, I then placed the rosette on to the base of my card and glued in place.

Taking the front panel I ran this through the Grand Calibur, using the Mystic M-Bossabilitie folder. I did have to go through twice as the card is too big, but that is ok, as with these folders you can match the patterns up.
This was then adhered to the top using foam pads. I then cut four corner and two borders from the Antique frame set and used these to decorate the front of the card.

My next creation is another card using the Roundabout dies set.

Simple layered Card

For this card, I heat embossed the back of the die in gold embossing powder, so when you fold and tuck, you will see the gold. I used Cream Pearlescent card and gold foil card.

I used Spellbinders scalloped circle and Plain circles to create the base layers, The gold layer on the base is embossed with Spellbinders M-bossibilities Mystic.

I did not have any Gold pearls in my stash( oh the horror!) so I did a bit of improvising.

I covered my pearl in embossing ink, dunked it in embossing powder and heated, being careful not to melt the pearl in the process!. I am pleased to say it was a success.

Now the next card is a late addition as I had the idea while demonstrating at Biggin Hill this past Sunday; I have used the cut and fold die Spectacular Spin.

Spectacular Spin spinning Card.

Now I have not made one of these cards for a while and I thought it would be perfect for these dies, This card has a bit of action to it, when you tilt the card the Pinwheel on the front will spin! I just love it and I hope you do too.

Please feel free to leave Comments, as we love reading what you think of our creations and also if you have any questions that's good as well.

Thank you for joining in with us on our very first blog hop, now here is a piece of news I am sure you will love.

I'd like to share with you.........

Hi fellow crafters,

Once again it has been a very busy month for me.

As many of you know I demonstrate for Oyster Stamps as well as Ali- Crafts.

Just recently I have been hosting workshops at various shows across the country for Oyster Stamps, the lastest one being Liverpool.

I showed just over 150 fellow crafters how to create a frame card using the Martha Stewart score board, a couple of Memory Box dies and a smidgen of Tim Holtz Tissue tape.

I met some loverly people, whilst I was there and I would like to thank a lady called Liz Smith, who came back on the Friday after taking the work shop on Thursday to show me what she had created.

I think Liz has made a really stunning piece of work here, and it just shows how us crafters give our creations  our own style, as the workshop frame is very clean and simple.

So Liz if you are reading this I would dearly love to link back to you, please let me know your blog address.
