Romantic Rectangles.............

What a glorious day we have down on the south coast.......

Any hoo, back to Romantic Rectangles by spellbinders, what a fabulous set, as soon as I saw them I knew they were coming home with me!

I was mooching on the web looking for ideas to use with these dies, when I came across a card that I knew I had to make, the original card is by Linda Duke who is on the Spellbinders DT.

My card is slightly different to her's as I have used Labels 25  and a Our Daily Bread Sentiment. I also used Bitty Blossoms by Spellbinders.

Here it is............

The Seam binding is from my own collection of ribbons  and the ink I used is by Stampin up and it is called  Always Artichoke, I am not sure whether this colour has been Discontinued, may be some one can let me know.

Hey there fellow Crafters,

I hope you all have had a great day, I did.

I spent the Morning at Oyster Stamps showing a group of lovely ladies on how to use the JustRite Stamps and matching dies. once they some playtime with the products, I gave them a challenge. I asked them to make this

I have to say, all the ladies took the challenge up and successfully made the main component, I handed around various 6 X 6 paper pads for them to decorate the exterior.

I am designing for...................

Hey there fellow bloggers,

I can now reveal that I am on Ali-Crafts design team, I am really pleased that they asked me to join.

I already Demo for them at many shows across the country, using mainly Tim Holtz products and Graphic 45.

My first design for them will be going onto their blog in the next week or so.

I am on a Design Team.

First off, I must apologise for my absense and lack of posts, there is a reason for this.

I have been away most weekends at craft shows demonstrating The grand Calibur and Ranger products, tho not for the same company. I have also been hosting works shops at Pickleberry Paper crafts busy busy.

Well I have been asked by a online craft retailer to join their Design Team, I have to say I am delighted, it has been a wish for me for quite a while. I will reveal who the retailer is when I have my first project ready.

Those who have wished me luck I thank you.

Take care

New Chapter.

Well as the saying goes, when one door closes another one opens.

My Job as a Teaching Assistant has now officially come to an end, I got my P45 through the post, I must admit I had a few tears in my eyes.
Even though the job did stress me out, I really enjoyed my 5 years there and I met and taught some wonderful characters whom I hope, go on and get the life they want.

The new chapter in my life is that I will be Demo'ing for Oyster Stamps and touring the country, with the Sincerely Yours Shows. I will be mainly demonstrating Martha Stewart Punches and on the odd occasion Cuttle Bug and the Grand Calibur.

I hope to put up in the next few days, pictures of my sample cards, that I have been busy making.

Thats all for now.

HHHMMMMM last week at work...........

Oh boy does it feel strange.

I am leaving work on Friday along with 5 other TA's who were told in March that our Job's were at risk and they had to make redundancies, What a shock that was.

A 50% TA staff cut.

Am I sad, yes I am, I have given almost 6 years to the school, I have seen some lovely pupils blossom into very mature students. I have witnessed some disturbing behaviour by some students, wondering how will I cope with this; I did and I am proud of that.

On Monday a group of girls who I support gave me some lovely cards, they were most upset when I let them know I would not be returning in September and they begged me to stay, alas I cannot.

I wish all of the students I support the very best for the future and I hope that you achieve your goals.

Friday I feel will be the most difficult day, finding people to say goodbye to; knowing that I am unlikely to see them again.

The thought hurts a lot and I am in tears now.
